23.10.2014 – 29.11.2014

Tom Poelmans challenges the canvas. He explores how far he can go in materiality, form and pictorial history. Self-portraits and thorough, abstract material research hang side by side. He enters into a dialogue with the paint, wages a silent battle with the canvas and its history. He sees the “mistake” or chance as an indispensable ally of his creative process.
